Wedding Season is on its Way!!!

O.M.G. I woke up today with the harsh realization that yes, Kissa, it’s Valentine’s Day on Thursday. What.Just.Happened. Time just moves so quickly my brain can barely keep up, I suppose. 😛

Charlie and I never really celebrate Valentine’s Day, and if you see my old posts, you’ll see it has very little meaning.

So what is it I’m really excited about? Wedding season! Love is in the air and that’s what I truly love about this season. Congratulations to everyone that has gotten engaged over the holidays and congratulations to those that will be getting engaged on Thursday. Enjoy this time, it’s such a special time of your life!

Compact Cases for the iPad are Here!!!

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Ok…maybe it’s the moment I’VE been waiting for.

But the Compact cases for the iPad and iPad Mini are here!!!! OMG, I’ve been waiting for this for a while (since September 2012 to be exact). And they’re here, they’re finally here! (Ok Kissa, contain your excitement!)

These (of course) will come in our Fall 2012 designs except for the Composition Case (sorry folks). And if our fabulous manufacturer permits, it will roll into our Spring/Summer ’13 line as well! Choose your favorite design and color, or let us create a custom one for you! 🙂

These babies will be available as soon as February 11, 2013 so watch out for our lunch in the Etsy shop!

Our DIY Lightbox for Product Photos

I’ve been wanting to improve the quality of our product photos for a long time. I’ve learned a lot about what angles to use to really showcase the beauty of our cases, but the lighting was always an issue. If it’s too early, the light is too bright. If it’s too late, there isn’t enough light. BAH!

On Sunday, Charlie was able to buy all my supplies and make me a light box. We followed this tutorial from Beautzine and it turned out great! With the Super Bowl in the background he started our quick 45 minute project.

Charlie started by cutting the boards in half and taping them together.

Then he cut the top as specified in the tutorial and we put the butcher paper in, plugged in the lights, and voila! We have a light box! Here’s a shot of it in action.

Our box produced this photo below (taken with an iPhone). Our fancy camera looks even better!

Yay, I could not be happier! Now we can shoot photos whenever we want!
