2 Sundays ago, we exhibited at the Brideworld Show at the Pasadena Convention Center. It was quite the day, and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. The days leading up the show were a whirlwind. With my personal life completely turned upside down, working 30 hours at my day job, and continuing to work on current orders I was completely lost. I had exhibited at bridal shows before, but never as a stationery vendor. The plan was to use our cases to draw interest and it actually worked well. We got a great response from our phone case designs and our Composition Case like always. But I wanted to do more. I wanted to make our booth more elegant, more interesting. I wish I had more time. More time to prepare the booth. More time to think about my ideas and carry it through. I wanted it to be perfect. But I’ve learned. I can only do my best. I can only do what I can. And it was a great experience! We met some great couples as well as great brides with their friends and families. Meeting great people is part of the reason why I love what I do. Being able to be part of such a special time of a couple’s life is such an honor. And, it’s so much fun!
We created a book of samples for potential clients to see. I liked the idea of a book to keep things together and it allowed our booth to be a bit more streamlined which is exactly what I like. We also hung a few samples so people can pick up the samples and really feel the quality of our papers.
The aisles were packed with people. All the vendors came with great booths. One of my favorite booths was Winnie Couture‘s. Their booth had the pop of color that other booths were lacking. Not to mention those gorgeous gowns. WOW.
Here’s me lookin’ a hot mess at the show. I’m lucky people even came up and talked to me! Lawwddd..
Like I said, all in all, it was a great show for us. We met great people, made great connections, and I definitely plan on doing one more this year. But for now, on to planning for Unique LA Spring Show! Let’s hope we get in 🙂
