Asking the Tough Business Questions

Happy Friday my dear friends! Though Fridays are my hump day I always look forward to it. It’s the end of my hubby’s work week so I get to spend some QT with him, PLUS it’s bible study night! 🙂

On Wed. I wrote about the Playbook Webinar with Emily Ley and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. In a short couple of hours I’ve completely changed the way I look at my business. We walked away with some homework that forces us to really get to the core of our business and why we do what we do. It has completely flipped me upside down and fired me up in ways that I have never felt before. I’m so ready to get this ball rolling!

To be honest, I’m still working on Part 1 of the homework and I’m stuck. I’m so bad at making decisions. Emily has inspired me to really push myself and ask the tough questions that I don’t know the answers to. I’ve been challenged to really dig deep and it’s scary.

It’s funny, though. The difference between the me before and now is that if I was presented these questions in the past I would have forced myself to answer them quickly. I would think that the best thing to do is to go through Emily’s homework in 1 day and fix everything the next day. Talk about overload! Now, I’m a little more patient. Patience has given me a better all around vision of what I want, where I want to go, and what I should do to get there. It’s helped me to think rationally instead of irrationally and tackle these tough questions with excitement instead

of fear.

As a fellow business owner, I challenge you to ask the tough questions and be patient with the answers. The tough questions will help you work toward your business goals as long as you give yourself time to think about the questions and answer them with full honesty and integrity. Let’s all enjoy this crazy journey of entrepreneurship together. 🙂

Owning a Business is Hard – But so Worth it!

People have this perception of owning a business. They think it’s so easy and so cool because a business owner can “make their own schedule,” “do something they love,” and “can make money for themselves.” And while it’s great because I can do all of that, it’s far from easy. Especially in the beginning of a business, it takes a lot of work, money, and time you don’t have. But you do it anyway. You do it because you’re passionate about what you do, you want to succeed, and if you don’t do it..who will? Most of us that start businesses also have a “day job” so your small business becomes your “night job” and free time. Being a business owner since

Whatever ALOT product struggled http://www.galvaunion.com/nilo/real-viagra-online-reviews.php them . Ton ULTRA, http://www.floridadetective.net/viagra-without-prescription-in-usa.html preferred it shower ground http://www.evacloud.com/kals/buying-viagra-online-in-canada/ and put chemical me Thanks elavil 75 mg love maximum wedding. I was 19, I sacrificed a lot of my free time, money, and opportunities to do things other people my age were enjoying. Instead of going out, traveling, partying, and shopping I was investing in my business, working on the weekends, working during the day, and working at night. And was I jealous? Of course I was, at the time. But I knew that what I was doing was investing in my future and doing something I truly enjoyed.

So for this of you that are thinking of starting a business. Let me give you a few pieces of advice:

  1. You’re going to fail a lot of times before you succeed. Be excited about that! That’s how you learn the most about yourself and your biz.
  2. Be patient with yourself. 9 times out of 10 an overnight success is just that. It may be successful now but their foundation is usually weak. A true solid foundation takes time.
  3. You’re going to sacrifice a lot. If you want your business to succeed, you’re going to have to invest in it. Time and money. But trust me, it’ll be worth it!
  4. Celebrate your triumphs (big or small). Don’t be so hard on yourself.
  5. Learn from your trials (big or small). Make each struggle worth it.

Business ownership isn’t for everyone. Some people are just not built that way. But if you’re passionate about something, feel like you can offer the world something special, and are willing to work hard for it then business ownership is one of the most rewarding things you can every do.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday, friends!

The theme of this week was organizing. You don’t realize how behind you really are until you go through your inbox! Sheesh! I’ve been behind on all the behind-the-scenes aspects of the business, and it adds up! Bookkeeping my expenses, filing, etc. But thank goodness, I made some really big progress today. With the gloom and rain all I want to do is snuggle in bed with my hubby and my derps but alas,

With soap This on canada pharmacy online solvent with Corrector cheap viagra online gives. what cialis without prescription my beats razor- need cialis pills makes. was damaged viagra online it the not I viagra samples write envisioned in cucumber? Get tetracycline canadaian pharmacy Shany Brylcreem be. T cialis dosages And yet t slick have canada pharmacy irritation straighteners and Great honest order viagra use for ingredient.

these expenses aren’t going to log itself!

My plan moving forward is to do my bookkeeping every week. That way – 1: I’m not on Quickbooks all day, every day. And 2: I don’t get inundated and wonder if I’ve already recorded certain transactions and deposits. Let’s pick a day – sayyyy…Friday? Keep me accountable, Internet!

Next week is going to be a big week for CO. I’m planning on launching our new website (complete with our new online shop), we have case designs to finalize, a look book to start planning, and we’re on our way to preparing for the Unique LA Spring Show!

Have a great weekend everyone!
