April Goal Setting

April 1st, WTF?! I can’t freaking believe it.

April is a big month of the year for me. Mainly because I run all my businesses in quarters and in April I look at my numbers and see where they all stand. I do comparisons from the previous year,  but more importantly I adjust and revisit my plan of attack of the year.

Things can change really quickly. Even in a short 3 months into the year a lot can happen. So in April here’s my game plan:

  1. Revisit the Ninong’s sales and come up with a focus for me and my team for the next quarter.
  2. Create our detailed game plan for Ninong’s next steps (can’t say more than that at the moment).
  3. Focus my creative juices on preparing for Las Vegas Market for CO Creative Cartel.
  4. Have CO join as many craft shows as we can.
  5. Start filming for GBF again.
  6. Implement my new blogging plan and make it a habit.
  7. Utilize my planner more.
  8. Enjoy my day off more, which means utilize my work hours.
  9. Create more video content.
  10. Take more photos. Visual content is what makes your words more interactive.

March Goal Setting

March is creeping up on me and that means spring is almost here. There are some things that are great about spring! Some people think of spring as a fresh start (even though I think anytime is a good time to start), the weather starts to warm up a little bit, beautiful flowers start to bloom, and the leaves start to turn green again. I think the only thing I hate about the spring is my allergy problem haha.

I’ve been looking back on my 2017 goals this past week in Evernote. I revisited the goals I wrote down for myself and just let it marinade for a little while so I can evaluate things I want to work on, change, and keep doing.

  1. Health and Fitness: I need to start going to the gym consistently and continue on improving my dietary choices.
  2. Work: Ninong’s is doing well, we are continuing to grow and change. I’m planning a huge trade show for CO Creative Cartel in the summer and I need to start planning. Real estate had been busier than expected, we closed 2 transactions in the first quarter and have 3 potential clients we can possibly in the 2nd quarter. I never thought this would be something that I would ever do, especially without my mom. But God has a way of showing you what His plans are for you. 🙂 The Good the Bad the Foodie has started and we’re filming on a consistent basis. We’ve got more videos coming your way so if you haven’t subscribed to our YouTube channel yet make sure you do so you don’t skip a beat!
  3. Home: Charlie and I have been organizing little by little and tackling projects every couple weeks. Working 6 days a week (sometimes 7) makes it really hard to keep your house clean. I’ve been taking every Monday to clean and doing little by little every day after work to make it more manageable.
  4. Personal Growth: I have really bad self confidence issues and one day I woke up and decided I wanted to start taking care of my skin (more on this later). I’ve never really had any issues with my skin but I definitely didn’t want to start having problems as an adult. I’ve been doing it for a little over a month and not only has my skin felt really soft and healthy but it has also given me a little bit of confidence. Taking care of myself has helped me to treat myself with respect and has mentally given me some self worth! On top of that I found an accountability partner in my good friend and fellow entrepreneur Heather, I started up bible study with my friends again, and I plan on traveling more this year.

So this month, I plan on being more consistent with the new things I started and turn them into healthy habits. The idea of positive reinforcement has been a huge factor in my progress not just in my personal habits and confidence but also in my productivity. So I want to continue to do things that are healthy for my body and mind which will be my focus for this month.

Happy planning guys! What are you goals for the month of March?

February Goal Setting

Hello February! The last week and few days of January was full of jet lag and playing catch up so I’m really excited to start the new month of right. Still working through the jet lag but hey, at least I’m trying right?! 😛 I have 3 main goals this month.

First, to get back on my normal routine. Like I said, our trip completely messed up our sleeping schedule which got our productivity way down to just the bare minimum to get us by. I want to get back to waking up no later than 8 am, having breakfast, getting ready, working, exercising, having dinner, and repeat. Be in bed by 11 pm, sleep by midnight. Boom.

Secondly, I need to get on that diet life. We ate so much in the Philippines. Like anything and everything lol! So I did a smoothie diet for 3 days when we got back and now am on my low carb/keto diet. To be completely transparent here, though, I haven’t even stuck to it for the last week and a half I’ve been home. That’s why this month’s main focus is to buckle down and get serious about it.

Last but not least, my third goal for February is to update my household and spending budget. Ever since Charlie and I went full time ownership (meaning neither of us are employed by someone else) we’ve had to make some major adjustments to our lifestyle. One of those things is our spending habits. I created a list of everything we spend on – groceries, mortgage payments, utilities, cell phone, credit card payments, etc. so I can make rough estimate of how much we need every month. That way I can set our pay coming from the businesses at that amount. What I really want to do for this month is to start my long term goal of having a larger savings. I decided to give myself and Charlie an allowance of $40 each a week for spending money (clothes, shoes, eating out, etc.). Once that $40 is spent, it’s spent until next week’s $40. If we want to purchase something more than $40 we can save until we have the extra money to do so. 🙂

When I did an analysis of our spending last year most of it was from eating at restaurants. I really want to make this a habit so that we don’t over spend. Wish us luck lol!
