I don’t know about you, but when I was growing up I loved to send notes in cool origami shapes. Ok, I’ll be honest, I still love to do this! Hence my excitement to share this with you 🙂 Please note: I don’t recommend printing this on card stock. Regular printing paper is better for folding. Click on the image below to download!
If you’ve never folded an origami heart before, not to worry. I’ve got a step-by-step tutorial for all of you! Write your love note on the back of your printable and get’ta foldin’!
Step 1. Flip the printable on its back and fold the top left corner to the right to make a triangle. Make sure the edges on the right align and is as straight as possible.
Step 2. Open it up and do the same for the top right corner.
Step 3. Open it up again. You’ll see a point where the 2 diagonal folds meet. Fold your paper horizontally at that point.
Step 4. Open your paper up one last time. Pinch and press your paper at the horizontal fold to create a large triangle.
Step 5. Take the edges of that large triangle and fold it up to the point at the top.
Step 6. Fold the bottom of the page to meet the line of the large triangle.
Step 7. Flip your printable over and fold the top point down.
Step 8. Fold the outer most flaps to align with the triangle from step 7.
Step 9. Take the left bottom corner and tuck the edge into the pocket that the “Be Mine” triangle creates. Repeat this step for the bottom right corner.
Step 10. Take the 2 flaps at the top and fold them at an angle and tuck them into the same pocket from  Step 9. This creates the top of your heart!
