Behind the Scenes of our Fall Look Book Photoshoot

As you guys know, our Fall & Winter look book dropped Labor Day weekend last month. We were more than excited to get these iPhone and iPad case designs to you all! We did a lot of research, worked day and night, and strived to give you guys the best quality cases with a sleek and interesting design.

Our first day of shooting we were lucky enough to have talented photographer, Preston Richardson, shoot for us. Preston is such a talented and humble individual to work with. He fit in so well with the rest of the CO team, we can’t wait to work with him again! I was able to get some behind the scenes shots of him in action with our stylist and models.

We planned for a sunrise shoot and the light was UGH-MAYZING. Yes, spelled exactly like that. 😉  All of us were really grumpy (okay maybe not grumpy…but tired) about waking up at the butt-crack of dawn but it was well worth it. Actually, we had to wake up earlier so we can be IN Downtown LA at the butt-crack of dawn. Haha! I was able to capture some of the gorgeousness that was going on and took a couple amateur shots of my own. 🙂

Doing 5 Things at Once

I’m sure you guys have felt that feeling before. You know, wishing you were able to clone yourself so you could be in 5 places at once. With reality sinking in that cloning isn’t an option for me I tried to master the art of major multitasking. 😛 I was pretty good at it, until I realized that being a director, coordinator, designer, baker, cook, bookkeeper, and manager just wasn’t something I wanted to do any more. Sure it was possible, but I was tired – mentally and physically. Most of the nights during that time I could barely sleep through the night because I kept remembering and thinking about the things that I didn’t get to take care of. And when I was awake, you can see me trying to do everything at the same time: cooking, designing, emailing, promoting… Then1 day, it hit me.

It was 1 night when I was cooking dinner. I always like the feeling of having dinner ready when Charlie gets home, which is almost never nowadays. I was chopping vegetables, sauteing garlic and onions, and cooking rice all while trying to take calls, answer emails, quality control and listen to our Traklife Radio show, respond to texts, and take photos of our cases. Are you wondering if I burned dinner? Luckily no, but by the time I finished cooking Charlie was home for a long while, and I didn’t even finish any of the things I was working on. Everything was half done. It just dawned on me that day that

if I just stopped trying to do everything at once and just focus on getting things done one at a time I would probably get things done faster and the quality would be much more superior. I know, I’m a slow learner and I always tend to learn the hard way. Hopefully you can give me credit for admitting I have a multitasking problem. 🙂

So here I am, in the present day trying to do things one at a time. Is it working? Let’s just say it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks. 🙂 But I’m trying!

FAQ: iPhone and iPad Cases

Since the launch of our iPhone and iPad case designs (now lovingly called Damage Control by CO) we have been getting quite a few questions so I thought I’d take this time to answer them!

Q: Where can I get your cases?
A: Our cases are currently available in our Etsy store. We also recently put up our look book up on our Facebook Page!

Q: How much are your cases?
A: Our iPhone cases come in 3 types for Summer 2012: Compact, Durable, and Credit. Our Compact and Durable Cases are $36.00, and our Credit Case costs $40.00. For our Summer 2012 line,  our iPads come in 2 types: Hard Cover and Folio. They both cost $50.00. If you want to create a custom case, maybe with your logo, a photo, or a custom design that we create for you it’s an additional $10.

Q: Do you offer cases for other devices?
A: Yes, we do! You can contact us with your device type and we can let you know if we can create a case for it.

Q: How long does it take for my case to arrive?
A: Today, our cases have a 8 business day turn around time. You will get an “Order Processed” email when the order time begins. We order cases twice a week.
